College Essay Coaching That Helps Your Student Stand Out

Expert, step-by-step support for the Common Application essay and supplemental essays, from brainstorm to polished final draft.

“Working with Mrs. Keskes greatly improved my essay's organization and helped me put my ideas on paper. She helped me structure an outline for my work, starting from scratch, and helped connect my interests into a single focus.”

~ Bryan Coleman, Okemos High School, Class of 2026

College acceptances from the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Albion College

Why the Essay Matters More Than Ever

As test scores begin to carry less weight in admissions, the personal essay has become one of the most important parts of a student’s application. It’s their chance to share who they are beyond their grades, athletics, and extracurricular activities.

The right story can make all the difference, but most students don’t know where to start or what to write about. That’s where coaching helps.

Your Student Doesn’t Have to Figure This Out Alone

With guidance, students:
✔ choose the right story
✔ learn what colleges are really looking for
✔ organize their ideas clearly
✔ write with confidence in their own voice

No guesswork. No last-minute stress.

What’s Included in the College Essay Coaching Package

2-hour online essay workshop

Learn what colleges are really looking for, study strong examples, and complete guided brainstorming to find the right story.

45-minute online 1:1 coaching session

Personalized live feedback on your draft with clear next steps for revision.

Up to four rounds of revisions

Detailed comments and suggested edits in Google Docs to strengthen clarity, structure, and voice.

Investment: $300

Your student starts with an idea and ends with a final, polished draft they feel proud of.

A Clear, Step-by-Step Process

  1. Students register for one college essay coaching cohort. There are four: May, June, August, and September.

  2. Students attend the live, online college essay workshop with fellow students in their cohort. Cohorts are capped at 10 to ensure optimal engagement during the workshop. If, for any reason, your student cannot attend the workshop, they will receive a recording of the workshop and can complete the activities on their own.

  3. After the workshop, students independently write their Common App essay rough draft. Then, they schedule a 1:1 coaching call with the instructor, Mrs. Keskes, where they’ll receive live feedback. This is scheduled within one month of the workshop.

  4. Students can then receive up to four rounds of additional feedback asynchronously using Google Docs. This helps ensure students get to a final draft they feel proud of. Additional rounds of feedback should be done within one month of the 1:1 coaching call.

The entire process takes an average of 1-2 months from initial idea at the workshop to final, polished essay ready for submission.
