It’s time to finally write that novel that’s been trapped in your head or collecting dust in your computer files. In this interactive course, the instructor will guide writers through the 14 steps of the Novel Blueprint, a framework designed to set up novelists for success, whether they’re in the planning stages of the novel or stuck in the murky middle. Writers will be assigned homework every week and receive live coaching on their work in a friendly, collaborative environment. After completing their blueprints, participants will have the tools, mindset, and accountability they need to write forward with clarity and confidence. All participants will receive an electronic copy of Blueprint for a Novel as a companion to the coursework.

For adults 21+, this is a paid course. All proceeds are donated back to keeping our youth classes entirely free, always, for any young writer in Northern Michigan. Dedicated writers ages 16-21 are eligible for a scholarship to take this course at no cost.

  • “This was a great class. It really provided the blueprint needed to go through the process of preparing to write a novel. Would highly recommend this course.”

  • “I have taken numerous courses on writing in the past three years. I can honestly say, this is the best writing class I have taken! As a retired college professor myself, I can easily recognize a teacher who is both passionate and fully immersed in their subject. Miranda Keskes is, without a doubt, that teacher. She is engaging, thought-provoking, and always prepared with great material.”

  • “I loved the ability to collaborate and think through story decisions purposefully!”

    —Former Classroom Participant

  • “Miranda Keskes offers thoughtful instruction and opportunities to explore, develop, and reflect on a novel idea, whether you are just starting or deep into the writing process. Through methodically introducing each stage of the Novel Blueprint, facilitating discussions about participants' novel ideas, asking key questions, and leading practical activities during the course, Miranda helped me to recognize the additional work that I needed to do to dive deeper into my work."
