Finally, Your Turn:
A One-Week Novel Planning Workshop
If you're a teacher or caregiver with a burning idea for a novel but don't know how to start, this is for you. By the end, you'll have the structure, support, and confidence to stop wondering if you can write a novel and start writing it.
I help women write emotionally resonant, character-focused stories that explore the complexities of being human while ultimately offering hope.
Many women spend years caring for others and putting their own dreams on hold. It's easy to believe there's never enough time, that it's too late, or that wanting something for yourself is selfish. It isn't. You deserve to make space for the novel you've always wanted to write.
I believe stories help us make sense of what it means to be human. The novels that stay with us illuminate hope amid hardship, exploring love, loss, resilience, family, friendship, and the connections that carry us through.
I believe anyone can write a novel if they have the right tools, mindset, and accountability.
Finally, Your Turn is a one-week workshop for women who are ready to stop putting their creative dreams on hold and finally begin the novel they've always wanted to write. You'll learn how to transform a burning idea into a clear drafting plan with compelling characters, while developing the mindset, confidence, and accountability needed to keep moving forward long after the workshop ends.
Together, we'll address the doubts that keep so many aspiring novelists stuck: not enough time, not enough experience, or the belief that wanting this for yourself is somehow selfish. Through coaching, community, and Jennie Nash's Blueprint for a Novel, a proven framework for understanding how stories are built, you'll leave with a roadmap for your novel and the confidence to pursue it.
Your Instructor
I'm Miranda Keskes, a former high school English teacher, author, and fiction book coach.
For years, I believed the people around me needed all of me. Like many women, I put my own creative ambitions on hold while I focused on caring for others.
Eventually, I realized that making space for my dreams wasn't selfish. It was necessary.
When I finally committed to writing a novel, I spent years learning the craft, studying story structure, and navigating the publishing world. Along the way, I discovered something important: writing a novel becomes much easier when you don't have to figure everything out alone.
I created this program for women who are ready to stop waiting for the "perfect time" and start making room for the creative life they've always imagined.

This is a fair question! I understand the realities of balancing a creative dream with the responsibilities of caring for others because I've lived it myself. I'm a former high school English and theater teacher, a mom, and the oldest sibling in my family. For years, I poured my energy into supporting others while trying to make space for my own writing ambitions.
I know how easy it is to believe there's never enough time, that your family's needs should come first, or that pursuing a novel is somehow selfish. I also know how overwhelming it can feel to piece together writing advice on your own and wonder if you'll ever make real progress.
That's why I teach this course using a clear, proven framework and guide you through it step by step. I'm not asking you to rely on motivation alone. I'm offering you a process, steady support, and the perspective of someone who has learned how to pursue a creative dream within a full and demanding life.

Absolutely. The Blueprint for a Novel is a powerful revision tool as well. In fact, I used the Blueprint to revise my own novel.
Once you create your Blueprint for a Novel, it becomes a tool you can keep coming back to. Whether you are revising an existing draft or preparing to write a new one, this process helps you understand what is working, what needs attention, and how the story fits together as a whole.

Many writing classes focus on inspiration, prompts, or isolated techniques. This course focuses on understanding how a novel actually works from beginning to end. You are learning a complete planning framework so you can make informed decisions about your story instead of guessing your way forward.
Plus, you can keep working with me after this class. I provide individualized, ongoing support through every stage of the novel-writing process. I can be with you, every step of the way.

The stories I enjoy coaching are not genre-bound. Rather, they are focused on complex characters who undergo challenges and hardship and, ultimately, choose hope in their lives.
The genres that most often fall under this description include book club, women’s fiction, historical fiction, upmarket, and literary, but I also enjoy coaching speculative and romance with depth.
The goal is not to force your book into a formula, but to help you understand how your story works so you can make intentional choices within your genre. You will apply the framework to your book, in a way that supports the kind of story you want to tell.

This workshop includes teaching techniques to help you capitalize and carve out time in your busy schedule. You do not need long, uninterrupted hours. Planning your novel allows you to use the time you do have productively because you know exactly what to work on when you sit down to write.

While all sessions are recorded, it’s highly recommended that you attend all sessions, as this workshop covers a lot of content in a short period of time. The live sessions also offer an opportunity to get “in the moment” coaching on your novel.
